From the recording History All Should Know
Lyrics
There is a History all should know
And teach their children as they grow
How our nation had begun
How our liberty was won
Ardent men made the call
Those patriots would risk it all
They pledged their lives for liberty
To free us all from tyranny
Our tiny nation soon would grow
More winds of war would shortly blow
But warring nations soon would see
We grew more sons of liberty
With fiery eyes and nerves of steel
They forged ahead with God their shield
Though bullets rained like sleet and hail
They didn't wane; they never failed
Some would live, so many died
In all those wars time after time
We stand here now on another dawn
A nation proud, a nation strong
We remember those who gave their last
Our heroes forged in dye and cast
Statues standing high and tall
Reminding us they gave it all
Monuments that bear their names
Walls that echo our deepest pain
Cemeteries near and far
Nameless Headstones, and forever scars
There aren't enough ways to say
Thank you for sacrifices made
So to our fallen souls I say
God bless you all
Every single Day
